Hercule Poirot is vacationing on the Cornish coast when he meets Nick Buckly. Nick is the young and reckless mistress of End House, an imposing structure perched on the rocky cliffs of St. Loo.

Poirot has taken a particular interest in the young woman who has recently narrowly escaped a series of life-threatening accidents. Something tells the Belgian sleuth that these so-called accidents are more than just mere coincidences or a spate of bad luck. It seems all too clear to him that someone is trying to do away with poor Nick, but who? And, what is the motive? In his quest for answers, Poirot must delve into the dark history of End House. The deeper he gets into his investigation, the more certain he is that the killer will soon strike again. And, this time, Nick may not escape with her life. 

Review:

Peril at end house is a detective fiction by British author Agatha Christie. This novel was well received when first published, with the plot stated as unusually creative and clever by the reviewers. It has been adapted to computer game, film, graphic novel, radio, stage, television and translated to many other languages as a book.

Hercule Poirot – is a private detective. Well, this characterization is as usually developed as an astute person. You will try to heed every action of him. He will unearth clues from anything which we think as an impossible one. He is the linchpin of this story.  

Arthur Hastings – is the best friend of Poirot. He is the narrator of this story. This character’s point of view is more relatable to our thinking. 

Nick Buckley – is a young mistress of End House. She is so impetuous that she isn’t aware of the perils enwreathing her. She is the key figure of this story. She enshrouds some stuff very well towards the end. This character is developed in an inimitable way. 

Some other entrancing characters are George Challenger, Freddie Rice, Charles Vyse and Ellen. 

Agatha Christie, queen of mystery, penned down an outlandish plot which may ruminate you to hitch with the story until end. 

I highly recommend this book to all the mystery lovers and of course to the fans of Agatha Christie.

சென்னை நகரத்தில் பெண்கள் தொடர்ந்து கடத்தப்படுவதால் அச்சம் நிலவுகிறது, அப்பொழுது கண்பார்வையற்ற முன்னாள் சிபிஐ அதிகாரியான துர்கா ஒரு கடத்தலின் பொழுது முக்கிய சாட்சியாக நேரிடுகிறது. அதன் பிறகு கடத்தல்காரனுக்கும் துர்காவிற்கும் இடையேயான மோதலே இத்திரைப்படத்தின் கதைக்களம்.

மதிப்பாய்வுரை:

நெற்றிக்கண் திரைப்படம் கொரியன்(Korean) திரைப்படமான பிளைண்ட் (Blind) திரைப்படத்தின் மறு ஆக்கமாகும். 

துர்கா (நயன்தாரா) - முன்னாள் சிபிஐ அதிகாரி. ஒரு கார் விபத்தில் தனது பார்வையை இழந்தவர். தனது வாழ்க்கையில் வரும் அனைத்தையும் எதிர்கொண்டு தனது கண் மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சைக்காக காத்திருக்கிறார். அப்பொழுது ஒரு பெண் கடத்தலின் முக்கியமான சாட்சியாக மாறுகிறார். நயன்தாராவின் நடிப்பு அவ்வளவு இயல்பாக ரசிக்கும் வண்ணம் சற்றும் பிசிறு தட்டாதவாறு அமைந்துள்ளது கதைக்கு மிகப்பெரிய வலுவாகும். தனது நடிப்பினால் ஒட்டுமொத்த கதையையும் தனது தோளில் சுமந்து செல்கிறார். 

ஜேம்ஸ் தினா (அஜ்மல் அமீர்) – கடத்தல்காரன். சற்றும் சிந்திக்க இயலாத அளவு அவ்வளவு பயங்கரமான ஒரு குணாதிசயத்தை கொண்டு வாழ்கிறான். அஜ்மல் அமீர் மிகவும் நேர்த்தியாக தனது முழு திறமையை வெளிப்படுத்தி உள்ளார் என்றே பாராட்ட வேண்டும். நயன்தாராவிற்கு இணையாக சில இடங்களில் நயன்தாராவினை நடிப்பினில் மிஞ்சும் அளவு தனது திறமையினை காட்டியுள்ளார். இவரது கதாபாத்திரம் ரசிப்பதற்கு இயலாத அளவு மோசமாக வடிவமைத்து இருந்தாலும் இவரது நடிப்பினை பாராட்டாமல் எவராலும் இருக்க இயலாது. 

துணை கதாபாத்திரங்களாக இருந்தாலும் கதை முழுவதும் பயணித்து நம்மை அவர்களுக்காக சில இடங்களில் பதறவைக்கையில் அனைவரின் கவனத்தையும் ஈர்க்கும் விதமாக நடித்துள்ளனர் மணிகண்டன் மற்றும் சரண் சக்தி.

சில காட்சிகள் நம்மை பதட்டத்தின் உச்சிக்குக் கொண்டு செல்கிறது, சில காட்சிகள் நமது மனதை நெருடும் வண்ணமாக அமைந்துள்ளது. 

மிலிந்த் ராவ் – இன் இயக்கம் அனைவரின் பாராட்டிற்குரியது. கதையின் நீளத்தை சற்றேனும் குறைத்திருந்தால் இன்னும் விறுவிறுப்பான கதையாக சென்று இருக்குமோ என்ற எண்ணம் எழுகிறது. சமுதாயத்தில் நிகழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் பெண்களுக்கு எற்படும் அவலங்களை நல்ல கதைக்களம் கொண்டு பரபரப்பான திகில் திரைப்படமாக உயிர் பெற்று திகழ்கிறது இத்திரைப்படம். இசையமைப்பாளர் கிரிஷ் கோபாலகிருஷ்ணனின் இசை கதைக்கு ஒற்றுப் போகிறது. 

இத்திரைப்படத்தை விறுவிறுப்பான கதை களத்தை ரசிப்போருக்கும், அனைத்து நயன்தாராவின் ரசிகர்களுக்கும் பரிந்துரைக்கிறேன்.
