Review:

Cinder is the futuristic retelling of the classic fairy tale “CINDERELLA”. It is the first book of the lunar chronicles. I chose this book, because of my endless love for fairy tales.

This book started off a bit slowly. But, If you are going to put off this book because of the slowness, you will regret it for sure (trust me). Because the second half is a freaking roller-coaster ride. You may guess half the turns rightly yet you will be totally unaware of the facts that leads you into another storyline.

Marissa Meyer has perfectly created a world which hurtles you to witness it for yourself. Cinder is one of the best female-protagonists I’ve ever read. She nailed each and every scene especially with Prince Kai and Doctor Erland. The untold love between Cinder and Prince Kai sets the floor on fire. You cannot resist but to fall in love with them. Iko - the robot - I adore it a lot. Queen Levana – the perfect antagonist - you don’t even want in your nightmares.

The ending screams for a sequel. Unfortunately, I don’t have SCARLET with me. The urge to buy the next book is unconquerable.

I highly recommend this book to all the fans who wants fairy tale exquisitely coalesced with science fiction.

Review:

I am a huge fan of Van Helsing movie which was based on the novels by Bram Stoker and Mary Shelly. This is the main reason I laid my hands on this classic book. The first few chapters are prodigious. When you start this book, you will be instantly entangled into the world of Dracula.

The story makes headway in the right direction accompanied by strong characters throughout the book. I personally admire the roles of Van Helsing and Mina Harker. They are adroit at connecting clues and even make some felicitous decisions dauntlessly. The author carried out the whole story by affixing each character's journals impeccably. This is the first time I witnessed this type of writing and I adored it a lot.

“It is a matter of life and death, perhaps even more!”.

To know further about this secluded world of Dracula, you must read this book. This illustrated edition is a perfect treat for visual and it’s literary work.

I highly recommend this book to all the Dracula story lovers and of course to all the fans of Bram Stoker.

First of all I want to thank my friend for gifting me this magical book. Everything about this book is enchanting. Each character is unique in their own way. We have Illusionists, fortune tellers, contortionists and so much more. Something about the Circus stirs your souls. It is like stepping into a fairy tale which is breathtakingly beautiful yet so dark, enthralling and mind-spinning with sensual storytelling. When you read this book, you have to keep track of the years in each chapter to connect the story otherwise you will be lost in this Circus forever. I strongly believe all actions have repercussions after reading this book.

Some say “Love is fickle and fleeting”. But, is it true in Marco's and Celia's case? To know the answer you must read this book. In love games, sometimes to win would be worse than losing. Sometimes you have to avoid the unavoidable. Anyways, it is always a matter of perspective.

“You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone's soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. That tale will move them and drive them and who knows what they might do because of it, because of your words.”

The Night Circus fulfills the above words of Erin Morgenstern. Hats off to her writing skills.

I highly recommend this book to all the fantasy lovers out there.

Review:

I bought this book because of my friend’s recommendation and this is my first ever Sidney Sheldon book. I loved every moment of the court scenes ( I need more!!!) and there was never a dull moment in criminal cases. I loved the way Sidney gave details to each character. This book takes us into another world and I totally love it.. the places.. the buildings.. the characters.. even the names of the places.. 

To be honest, I was not attracted to the romantic relationship between Jennifer and Adam. That might be because I was more interested in Michael Moretti. I eagerly waited for Michael's love. And it happened after 300 pages. It was worth the wait. I adore his love for Jennifer. But what happened when next President of United States and most influential Mafia’s head gets involved in a famous lawyer’s life and to know what happened you have to read this book. I kind of hate this climax. But it totally depends on the reader’s perspectives. 

Overall it’s a good book with wonderful court scenes and two difficult love relationships.

I highly recommend this book for the readers who love lawyers plot and of course to Sidney Sheldon's fans.

சற்று மனதை பலப்படுத்திக் கொண்டே இப்புத்தகத்தை படிக்க ஆரம்பிக்கலாம். ஏனெனில், கதையின் தொடக்கமே மங்கோலிய பரம்பரையைச் சேர்ந்த கொடுங்கோல் மன்னர் “தைமூரை” பற்றியது. இவர் இந்தியாவில் தங்கி இருந்தது வெறும் ஆறு மாதங்களே, இருப்பினும் இவர் நடத்திய வெறியாட்டத்திற்கு இணையாக சரித்திரத்தில் மிகச் சில நிகழ்ச்சிகளையே குறிப்பிட முடியும். இவர் சிந்து நதியைக் கடந்து பஞ்சாப் முழுவதுமாய் சூறையாடி சுமார் ஒரு லட்சம் மக்களை அடிமையாக்கினார்.இடையூறு செய்பவர்களிடம் இரக்கம் காட்டுவது, எதிரிகளை ஏனோதானோ என்று விட்டுவிடுவது அவருக்குப் பிடிக்காத ஒன்று. ஆகையால் அந்த ஒரு லட்சம் அடிமைகளின் தலைகளும் சீவப்பட்டன. டெல்லியில் 10 நாட்களாக இவர் நடத்திய வெறியாட்டத்தின் விளைவு:அவர் இந்தியாவில் இருந்து வெளியேறிய பிறகும் இரண்டு மாதங்களுக்கு டெல்லியில் யாருமே நடமாடவில்லை.

வஞ்சகம் மட்டுமல்ல, வீரமும் ஏராளமாக இருந்தது அலாவுதீன் கில்ஜிக்கு. கிளர்ந்தெழுந்த பல சிற்றரசர்கள் சுல்தானின் வாள்வீச்சில் ஓட்டமெடுத்தார்கள். இவரின் ஆட்சியில் விலைவாசி கட்டுக்குள் இருந்தன.வியாபாரிகள் இரவு நேரத்தில் கூட பயம் இல்லாமல் தங்கள் சரக்குகளுடன் நாடு முழுவதும் பயணித்தனர். ஒரு கொள்ளைக் காரர்கள் கூட நாட்டில் இல்லாததுதான் காரணம். போகப் போக, அதிகாரபோதை தலைக்கேற, ‘என்னால் எதையும் சாதிக்க முடியும்!’ என்ற எண்ணம் அலாவுதீன் கில்ஜியின் சர்வாதிகாரத்துக்கும் முடிவு கட்டியது.
