Review:
I unexpectedly watched this movie trailer. After that, I searched for some Google reviews about this movie. After reading few reviews, I made up my mind to definitely watch this movie sometime. I made the right choice after all.
Amrita (Taapsee Pannu) – Married to Vikram (Pavail Gulati). They happily lived their life until everything turns upside down because of a single slap. Both of them give real soul to their roles. She is the queen of this movie.
Shivani (Dia Mirza) and her daughter Sania (Gracy Goswami) beautifully play their roles. Her story is proof that beautiful love also exists.
Advocate Netra (Maya Sarao) manifests justice to her role through her brilliant acting. Her part makes you to realise that true happiness is everything that matters in your life. And advocate Pramod (Ram Kapoor) perfectly fits to oppose her boldness.
Sunita (Geetika Vidya Ohlyan) makes you realise how cruelly this world treats some housewives.
Sachin (Kumud Mishra) and Sandhya (Ratna Pathak Shah) are perfect choices for Amrita’s parents. They are such a lovely couple.
Each and every character is flawlessly selected. Story development genuinely pulls out our vehement feelings. Direction is highly appreciative. Music gives enough life to the movie.
After watching all the characters' perspective, you will never ask - Is this all for a single slap?.
This movie conveyed so many messages about domestic violence, outdated genre expectations and also the decade of conditions we must follow as per the majority of the population. It also tells us – respect and happiness are important to each person. And of course true love too.
Overall, this movie is a well crafted message conveying one of society’s biggest issues.
I highly recommend this movie to all those who really want to understand the meaning of a relationship and also to the admirers of a good message movie.
Happy watching!!!
