Review:

This book is first named as Ten little niggers, after the minstrel song, which serves as the major plot point and later renamed as ‘Ten little Indians’. Then it was retitled as ‘And then there were none’. This is the novel Agatha Christie once admitted as the hardest to write.

This book is the world’s best-selling mystery with over 100 million copies sold. This story has been adopted into plays, movies, TV shows, games and also to graphic novels.

And this book came first in a global vote to find the world’s favourite Agatha Christie books for her 125th birthday.

Agatha Christie created a magnificent story revolving in an Island with her inimitable writing style. She described her characters apparently.

“In the midst of life, we are in death”.

Story is so fast paced and there is not even a single dull moment. Each scene retains our disquiet feelings.

“Be sure thy sin will find thee out”.

Agatha gave us the biggest clue within the starting few pages yet you will never able to predict the exact scenario. That is why may be she is known as the “Queen of mystery”.

“But no artist, I now realize, satisfied with art alone. There is a natural craving for recognition which cannot be gainsaid”.

I am not going to write about the characters involved in this story because that may give you a little bit of spoilers. I want everyone to enjoy this book as spoiler free one. That may be helpful to feel the exact chill in the story.

I highly recommend this book to the lovers of mystery, crime and also to the admirers of Agatha Christie.
