Theo Faber – a forensic psychotherapist who can do anything in maximal extend to treat Alicia while others have failed and tried to walk out from her case. His Brobdingnagian obsession over Alicia’s case leads him to discover various versions of a story from her side  Does he want to hear her truth or stick to believe the certitude that already exists?

Review :

The Silent Patient is a psychological thriller book written by British-Cypriot author Alex Michaelides. This is his debut novel. Upon its release, the book debuted on the New York Times Best Seller list at No.1. It later won the Goodreads choice award 2019 in the mystery and thriller category.

Alex Michaelides gave real soul to this novel’s characterization. His writing style is steady enough to engage the audience. Alicia's and Theo's characters are well developed and interlinked with each other.

Love is the most celebrated word which can turn anyone into anything. The author had been chary of handling the emotional effects of damaged love. His way of story revelation is pretty good.

“Remember, love that doesn't include honesty doesn't deserve to be called love.”

The story revolves around a handful of people only but characters were depicted in a satisfactory way. I predicted some twists (not fully) in an early stage, still some suspense is well concealed until the end of story.

Generally, this book holds enough suspense appended with a tincture of twists at the latter part of the story.

“Sometimes it’s hard to grasp why the answers to the present lie in the past.”

I highly recommend this book to all  suspense and thriller enthusiasts.
